Principal realistic earnings (incl. basic & bonus): £150,000+ per annum 

Consulting Point works with leading consulting firms worldwide on senior hiring across strategy, transformation, and specialist advisory disciplines. The firm has developed a distinctive way of engaging the consulting market, grounded in deep sector understanding and a continually evolving view of senior talent and demand across regions. 

We are hiring a Principal to operate at a senior commercial level within the business, focused on consultative sales and senior client development across the global consulting market. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to the market, shaping opportunity, and converting engagement into sustained commercial relationships. 

The role 

As a Principal, you will be deeply involved in originating and developing client relationships with senior consulting leaders internationally. You will lead outbound engagement, run commercially focused conversations, and take responsibility for progressing relationships from initial contact through to active mandates and repeat work. 

You will work closely with Senior Consultants, Consultants, and Analysts in a shared commercial rhythm, where insight is built, tested, and applied through live client interaction. Market conversations influence internal focus, and internal intelligence sharpens how those conversations are taken back to the market. 

The role requires sound judgement around where to invest time and attention, how to position discussions, and how to maintain momentum across multiple senior relationships. You remain close to the work, accountable for outcomes, and directly involved in building revenue. 

What we look for 

We are looking for someone with a strong track record in senior-level sales and client development within recruitment, executive search, management consulting or a closely related professional services environment. You should be comfortable operating at peer level with senior decision makers and handling complex, commercially sensitive discussions. 

You will bring commercial confidence, resilience, and the ability to use insight to frame relevant, well-timed conversations. Experience working across international markets is important, as is an appetite for building long-term client relationships rather than relying on inherited accounts.
