Mott MacDonald has acquired design and engineering consultancy firm Wideurope Engineering, for an undisclosed sum. The Italy-based company, with offices in the Middle East, boosts the firm's presence in Italy as well as its expertise in the energy sector. Around 50 new staff join the firm.

Wideurope Engineering is design and engineering consultancy firm, headquartered in Genoa, Italty. The firm, which as founded in 2002, expanded its footprint into the Middle East in 2005, with offices in Dubai and Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates. Today the firm, which focuses on supporting clients with structural, architectural and engineering design consultancy, has a staff of 50 across its footprint.
