Business and IT consultancy Waterstons has revealed plans to open a new base in Sydney.
The Durham-headquartered company has appointed Charlie Hales to head up the new base, which is its first overseas office. It will launch in March 2020.
She said: "I love a challenge and I can’t wait to get the new Australia business up and running.
"We already have a presence in Australia and work with a number of clients in both Sydney and Perth. We are now excited to build on these strong partnerships and connect with new businesses."
Alex Bookless, head of managed services at Waterstons, added: "The opportunity to open an office in Sydney allows us to offer a 24/7 support service for our clients without the need to work nightshifts in the UK.
"This means we can continue to offer an excellent service to our customers, where the person picking up the phone is the person who can fix your issue, whilst also meeting our core values."
