Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting and a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE:MMC) announced the appointment of Bob Wigley as Senior Advisor to its financial services practice, effective immediately. Mr. Wigley is based in London.
In his role, Mr. Wigley is dedicated to enhancing Oliver Wyman's support for clients and strengthening the financial services practice. Mr. Wigley will also actively contribute to shaping Oliver Wyman's strategic vision for the future of the global financial services industry, while also helping expand Oliver Wyman's strategic relationships across the private and public sectors.
Mr. Wigley brings over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, having spent over a decade at investment banks including Morgan Grenfell and Merrill Lynch. He is the current Chairman of UK Finance. Prior to this, Mr. Wigley was EMEA Chairman of Merrill Lynch between 2003 and 2009. Between 2006 and 2009 he was a member of the Court of the Bank of England and has formally been a member of the Takeover Panel, the Financial Services Authority’s Senior Practitioners Panel.
