APAC-Salary Data - December 2020

Like other regions, 2020 hasn’t seen much movement in salaries for Management Consultants in general. However, there has been upward pressure on salaries at the senior levels. This is coming from firms looking to secure senior talent in unstable times and needing to use money is the tool of choice.

Therefore, overall the salaries have increased by 1.7% in general but we have documented 24% increases in those hard to find skills.

APAC -Permanent Base Salaries (shown converted to USD)

Salary is shown in USD per annum. Exchange rates from1 Dec 2020. Our normal smoothing was applied which includes removing the top and bottom 5% of data.

APAC - Average Bonus payments

Reported bonuses and ‘revenue share’ schemes are definitely down at during 2020. Percentage figure shown is based on the average salary for the grade and paid annually. There is always a stronger reward for more sales activity but a slow down in certain areas is having a negative effect on these payments as in other regions.

APAC - What employees most value in the region

When questioned, the following pie chart shows what percentage of respondants valued a feature as important in their curren tor future work environment. This region consistentialy has money as the most important and job security as the least. We’ve not seen this change for several years.
