KPMG’s Global Tech Innovator competition is returning to Saudi Arabia’s shores, with the local finals to be held at the end of the summer.

The Global Tech Innovator competition is an incubator and accelerator for innovative tech start-ups worldwide. The competition, organised in over 25 countries, provides tech founders with a development program that helps them advance their business model and showcase their propositions to industry experts, investors and potential partners.

The program is supported by an extensive network of KPMG experts, drawn from the company’s various disciplines including corporate finance, strategy, growth, business services, and more.

said Samer Abdallah, Head of ICT Sector at KPMG in Saudi Arabia.

The application process is open and will conclude on 30 June 2024. Participants will be evaluated based on their innovation, market potential, customer adoption, market traction, long-term potential, and pitch quality.

The KSA competition is organised in in partnership with the General Authority for SMEs (Monsha’at), with the finals scheduled for 28 August 2024 at KPMG’s head office in Riyadh. The winner will represent KSA at the global finals in Portugal.

Saudi Arabia is the only place in the Middle East where the Global Tech Innovator competition is held this year. Other countries that are organising the event include the US, UK, Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, China, Germany, India and Australia.

The 2023 edition of the Global Tech Innovator competition was won by Netzero, a company that offers innovative solutions for companies to offset their carbon emissions.
