Challenge
With Consulting Point’s extensive consulting network in the Middle East, we were approached by a global consulting firm looking to establish a strong regional presence. Their goal was to recruit experienced Partners to lead various verticals and drive business growth in alignment with their regional expansion strategy. These individuals needed to possess deep industry expertise and a proven track record in business development in the Middle East region.
Solution
We began with a comprehensive market mapping exercise, identifying a long list of experienced Partners from leading management consulting firms. Our focus was on professionals specialising in Digital Transformation & Technology Innovation who also had extensive networks within the Public Sector in UAE and/or KSA. Once the initial list was established, we conducted in-depth interviews with each candidate to assess their cultural fit, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to thrive in a startup-like environment. A key criteria was their capacity to generate business independently, beyond the support of a larger organisation. Through this rigorous selection process, we refined the shortlist to a select group of highly qualified individuals and introduced them to the client.
Result
One of the first candidates presented—a Partner from a Big 4 firm—quickly stood out. From the initial conversation, it was evident that this individual had the ideal blend of ambition and expertise to drive business growth. Their entrepreneurial approach resonated with stakeholders, and mutual interest was established early on. Throughout the process, we managed financial negotiations to ensure a competitive offer that met both parties’ expectations. We guided the candidate through the acceptance and resignation process, facilitating a smooth transition. The successful hire is now set to play a pivotal role in building and expanding the client’s Digital & Technology Innovation practice in the Middle East.
