The Challenge
A US-based consultancy with aggressive growth plans needed to establish and scale a strategic hub in India. They required a senior leader with deep US healthcare expertise, strong operational control, and the ability to deliver short-term performance while building long-term capability. The role demanded leadership across people, process and delivery, with full accountability to global consulting leadership.
Our Approach
We ran a focused, high-level search targeting senior operators with a strong record in healthcare consulting and complex delivery environments. The priority was depth, not volume. We shortlisted individuals with experience scaling large teams, driving cost and quality improvements, and aligning local execution with global strategy. One candidate stood apart. With 20 years of experience, they had built teams of 1,600+, led multi-million-dollar portfolios, and executed major transformation programmes. Their understanding of the US consulting model and ability to deliver that standard from India made them the clear choice.
The Outcome
The candidate was appointed Head of India following a multi-stage process with global stakeholders. They are now leading the build-out of delivery and operations, embedding high-performance standards, and ensuring India becomes a core platform for global growth.
