Context
Demand for specialist Law Enforcement consulting has accelerated as policing organisations invest in data-driven transformation, modern operating models and improved digital capability. Firms with strong public-sector credibility are under pressure to secure experienced leaders who can deliver in sensitive, politically complex environments.
Challenge
A leading consultancy sought a Senior Manager to strengthen its Law Enforcement practice. The individual needed deep experience across policing transformation, strong stakeholder management and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams. Suitable candidates were scarce, with most embedded in long-term programmes and not active in the market.
Solution
Drawing on our established network across consulting, we focused exclusively on passive candidates and found a number delivering within UK law-enforcement organisations currently. This enabled us to surface profiles not accessible through the clients own search capabilities, including individuals already having NPPV-3 and SC security clearances. We identified an individual with both these clearances, as well as significant experience across service design, data architecture and operational transformation. Consulting Point supported the candidate through a well-paced and transparent interview process, helping both sides to navigate difficult restrictions in terms of what could be disclosed.
Results
The candidate quickly demonstrated strong cultural alignment and subject-matter depth, resulting in a smooth offer process and a start date in early 2026. The hire immediately strengthened the client’s delivery capability and expanded leadership capacity, in a high-growth part of their public-sector portfolio.
