International management consulting firm CYLAD has opened a new office in Austria, its tenth location worldwide.
Headquartered in Paris, CYLAD has a team of over 150 consultants across offices in France, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Sydney and now also Austria.
Thomas Trautmann, a partner at the consulting firm, said that the move in Austria comes in response to growing demand from the firm's clients in the country, but also positions the firm to expand its horizons into Eastern Europe, for which Vienna is a good base.
“The opening of our Austrian office reinforces our international presence and strategically positions us in the region – unlocking access to new markets and opportunities. Vienna’s geographic advantage will allow us to grow in the Central & Eastern European markets focusing on manufacturing, machinery and energy clients.”
The new hub will be led by Daniel Mader, who has been hired from Oliver Wyman and has been appointed a partner (the firm’s 19th overall). Mader brings 18+ years of experience in consulting and industry, with a focus on the energy and process industries. Before Oliver Wyman, he had spells at Strategy& and Kearney.
Since 2018, Mader has supported numerous industrial companies in strategy development, performance transformation, and operational improvement projects across various sectors, including oil & gas, chemicals, utilities, and consumer goods. His expertise particularly covers operating model design, process improvements, cost optimisation, operational excellence, and market studies.
“I feel very humbled and excited to embark on this journey with CYLAD’s seasoned professionals. With CYLAD’s technology-focused spike, I see great opportunities to further position ourselves as a key player in the industrial and energy sectors within Austria and the wider European marketplace,” Mader noted.
