Context
A leading UK strategy consultancy was investing further in its Private Equity advisory practice, with particular focus on commercial due diligence and value creation. As deal flow remained active and investor expectations increased, the firm required a senior manager who could engage confidently with fund partners and portfolio leadership, while strengthening delivery capacity across transactions.
Challenge
The brief called for a hire with strong buy-side and sell-side experience, capable of leading complex CDD engagements across multiple sectors. Investor credibility was essential, alongside the ability to manage teams and contribute to the long term growth of the practice.
Solution
Consulting Point introduced a candidate who had recently returned to the UK from the US, bringing experience across more than fifty CDD, VDD and growth strategy projects for mid-market private equity clients and corporates in B2B TMT, events and services. The candidate demonstrated end to end project ownership, from scoping and structured work planning through to synthesising commercial analysis into clear, board ready outputs. They had advised investment committees and C suite teams on key strategic decisions.
Outcome
The assignment completed within one week. The appointment strengthened the firm’s UK Private Equity platform, increased its capacity to lead larger CDD engagements and supported deeper relationships with priority sponsors.
